Abstract
Setiap tahun jumlah kecelakaan lalu lintas mengalami peningkatan. Dari sekian banyak kasus yang menjadi korban adalah usia produktif yaitu usia remaja, karena kurang kesadaran dalam mematuhi aturan lalu lintas yang disebabkan kurangnya pengetahuan tentang pencegahan kecelakaan lalu lintas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengetahuan tentang pencegahan kecelakaan lalu lintas pada remaja di SMP Negeri 01 Gedangan Kabupaten Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan metode total sampling dengan jumlah responden 97 orang. Variabel penelitian yaitu pengetahuan tentang pencegahan kecelakaan lalu lintas. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 11 januari 2020. Instrument yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner pengetahuan pencegahan kecelakaan lalu lintas. Pengolahan data: editing, coding, scoring, tabulating Analisis Univariat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa sebagian besar berpengetahuan baik yaitu 54 reponden (55,67%), sebagian kecil berpengetahuan cukup yaitu 24 responden (24,74%) dan kurang yaitu 19 responden (19,58%). Hal ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman berkendara dan pernah tidaknya terkena tilang. Melihat penelitian ini, diharapkan siswa yang berpengetahuan masih kurang lebih aktif mencari informasi dan mengikuti penyuluhan tentang pencegahan kecelakaan lalu lintas. ABSTRACT Every year the number of traffic accidents increases. Of the many cases that are victims of productive age, namely adolescence, due to lack of awareness in complying with traffic rules caused by lack of knowledge about traffic accident prevention. The purpose of this study was to find out knowledge about the prevention of traffic accidents in adolescents at SMP Negeri 01 Gedangan, Malang Regency. This research used descriptive research design. The sampling technique used a total sampling method with 97 respondents. The research variable was knowledge about the prevention of traffic accidents. The study was conducted on January 11, 2020. The instrument used was a questionnaire traffic accident prevention knowledge. Data processing: editing. Coding, scoring, tabulating, univariate analysis. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the majority of people with good knowledge were 54 respondents (55.67%), a small proportion with adequate and insufficient knowledge were 24 respondents (24.74%) and 19 respondents (19.58%),. This could be influenced by driving experience and whether or not being hit by a ticket. Seeing this research, it is expected that students who are knowledgeable are still more or less actively seeking information and following counseling about traffic accident prevention.
