Abstract

ABSTRAK Diabetes mellitus (DM) merupakan penyakit metabolik kronis yang dapat menimbulkan berbagai macam komplikasi. Dengan melakukan kontrol secara rutin, diharapkan kejadian komplikasi kronis DM dapat diminimalisir. Namun, pada kenyataannya masih banyak dari penderita DM yang sudah rutin kontrol tetapi masih mengalami komplikasi kronis. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa ada faktor-faktor lain yang berkontribusi menyebabkan komplikasi kronis DM yang tidak selesai hanya dengan melakukan kontrol rutin. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui gambaran faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kejadian komplikasi kronis DM di Poli Penyakit Dalam RS dr. Soepraoen Malang. Penelitian menggunakan merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Populasinya adalah semua pasien DM yang mengalami komplikasi kronis dan melakukan kontrol pada tanggal 22 Januari sampai 21 Februari 2018 di Poli Penyakit Dalam RS dr. Soepraoen Malang. Teknik sampling menggunakan Consecutive Sampling dengan jumlah sampel 81 responden. Data dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan metode wawancara terpimpin menggunakan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor-faktor yang paling mempengaruhi kejadian komplikasi kronis DM di Poli Penyakit Dalam RS dr. Soepraoen Malang meliputi: umur yaitu lansia (46-65 tahun) sebanyak 69%, lama menderita DM yaitu <5 tahun sebanyak 54,3%, dan diet DM yaitu tidak diet sebanyak 63%. Oleh karena itu diharapkan rumah sakit atau pelayanan kesehatan dapat melakukan edukasi yang melibatkan pasien dan keluarga. Edukasi tentang DM (dimulai dari pengertian hingga komplikasi) dan memberikan pengertian bahwa seiring bertambahnya usia memang resiko terjadinya komplikasi sangat besar serta dukungan keluarga dalam pelaksanaan diet DM yang juga sangat penting. By performing routine control, it is expected that the incidence of chronic complications of DM can be minimized. However, in reality there are still many DM patients who have routine control but still have chronic complications. This proves that there are other factors that contribute to chronic complications of unfinished DM by simply performing routine controls. The purpose of this study is to know the description of factors that affect the incidence of chronic complications of DM in the Polyclinic Internal Disease in Hospital dr. Soepraoen Malang. The research design was descriptive. The population were all patients of DM who have chronic complications and controled on January 22 to February 21, 2018 in the Polyclinic Internal Disease in Hospital dr. Soepraoen Malang. Sampling technique was using Consecutive Sampling with sample number 81 respondents. The data in this research was taken by interview method used questionnaire. The results showed the factors that most affected the incidence of chronic complications DM in the Polyclinic Internal Disease In Hospital dr. Soepraoen Malang includes: the age of the elderly (46-65 years) as much as 69%, long suffered DM is <5 years as much as 54, 3%, and DM diet that is not diet as much as 63%. Therefore, it was expected that hospital or health service can educate patients and families. Education about DM (starting from understanding to complication) and giving understanding as get older is the risk of complications very large and support the family in the implementation of the DM diet is also very important.
