Abstract
ABSTRAK Lansia merupakan kelompok umur pada manusia yang telah memasuki tahapan akhir dari fase kehidupannya.Proses menua pada lanjut usia menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan seperti perubahan pada psikologis dan mental, salah satunya pada fungsi kognitif. Kemunduran fungsi kognitif dapat berupa mudah lupa. Mudah lupa ini biasa berlanjut menjadi gangguan kognitif ringan sampai ke dimensia sebagai bentuk klinis yang paling berat. Untuk mengurangi gangguan kognitif terdapat beberapa cara salah satunya dengan reminiscence therapy. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi kenangan (reminiscence therapy) terhadap fungsi kognitif pada lansia. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pre-experimen dengan rancangan penelitian one group pre test-post test design. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Populasi lansia yang mengalami gangguan kognitif sebanyak 20 orang. Besar sampel yang diambil sebanyak 12 orang. Variabel dependen yaitu fungsi kognitif pada lansia dan variabel independen yaitu reminiscence therapy. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu Mini Mental Stare Exam. Uji data statistic menggunakan Sign Rank Test Wilcoxon. Reminiscence therapy berpengaruh pada fungsi kognitif lansia. Uji statistik Wilcoxon didapatkan nilai p value 0,002. Ada perbedaan fungsi kognitif lansia sebelum dan sesudah diberikan reminiscence therapy. Diharapkan lansia dapat mempertahankan fungsi kognitifnya setelah diberikan intervensi agar dapat mencegah penurunan fungsi kognitif yang lebih berarti. Kata Kunci : Reminiscence Therapy, Fungsi Kognitif, Lansia ABSTRACT Elderly is a age group in humans who have entered final stage of their life phase. The aging process in the elderly causes changes such as changes in psychological and mental, one of wich is cognitive function. The decline of cognitive functions can be easy to forget. It’s easy to forget this usually continues to be mild cognitive impairment down to dementia as the most severe clinical form. To reduce cognitive impairment the are several ways, one of them is reminiscence therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of reminiscence therapy on cognitive function the eldery. This study used a pre experimental design with a one group pre testpost test design. The sampling technique using purposive sampling. The population of elderly who experience cognitive impairment is 20 people. The sample size was 12 people. The dependent variable is cognitive function in the elderly and independent variables namely reminiscence therapy. The instrument used is the Mini Mental State Exam. Test statistical data using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Reminiscence Therapy affect the cognitive function of the elderly. The Wilcoxon statistical test has a p value of 0,002 There are differences in cognitive function of the elderly before and after reminiscence therapy is given. It is expected that the elderly can maintain their cognitive function after being given an intervention in order to prevent a more significant decline in cognitive function.
