Abstract
ABSTRAK Scabies adalah penyakit kulit yang disebabkan oleh infeksi tungau Sarcoptes scabiei varian hominis. Scabies merupakan penyakit yang mudah menular. Penularan scabies mudah terjadi karena faktor lingkungan dan perilaku tidak bersih. Sikap para santri berperan penting dalam pencegahan scabies di lingkungan pesantren. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2019 yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku santri tentang pencegahan scabies di Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Kepanjen. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif, populasi sebanyak 30 santri, sampel sebanyak 30 santri yang menjadi responden yang ditemui saat penelitian. Teknik sampling menggunakan Accidental sampling. Pengumpulan data perilaku santri tentang pencegahan scabies menggunakan kuesioner. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan sebagian besar responden dengan kriteria perilaku positif sejumlah 18 (60%) dan hampir setengahnya responden dengan kriteria perilaku negatif sejumlah 12 (40%). Hal ini dimungkinkan karena perilaku santri atau personal hygiene yang kurang bersih. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan bagi pengurus pondok dapat lebih memberikan informasi atau penyuluhan melalui petugas kesehatan maupun media lain. Bagi santri bisa lebih meningkatkan dan menerapkan perilaku pencegahan dalam kegiatan sehari-hari didalam pondok pesantren untuk mencegah terjadinya penyakit scabies yang berulang. Kata kunci: Perilaku, Pencegahan, Scabies. ABSTRACT Scabies is a skin disease caused by mite infection Sarcoptes scabiei hominis variant. Scabies is a contagious disease. Scabies transmission is easy due to environmental factors and unclean behavior. The attitude of the santri plays an important role in overcoming scabies in boarding schools. This research was conducted in May 2019 which aims to discuss the thoughts of santri about changes in scabies at Darussalam Kepanjen Islamic Boarding School. This research was a descriptive study, totaling 172 students, a sample of 30 students who were respondents. The sampling technique used accidental sampling. Data collection of santri behavior about replacing scabies used a questionnaire. From the results of the study, the majority of respondents with positive criteria were 18 (60%) and almost the majority of respondents with negative criteria were 12 (40%). This was because of the problem of santri or poor personal hygiene. The results of this study are expected to provide more information or counseling to the board administrators through health workers or other media. Students can further improve and apply problems in daily activities in Islamic boarding schools to prevent recurrent scurvy. Keywords: Behaviour, Prevention, Scabies.
